8. ACCESS AND SECURITY WHEN MAKING A PURCHASE
Navigation through the website is free of charge. Registered access by the User, by means of a password, will only be required to control the purchases made on the website.
The use of passwords is personal and non-transferable, therefore you are not permitted to give them, even temporarily, to third parties. Because of this, the User agrees to be diligent when using the password and to keep it secret, and they will be fully responsible for the consequences of revealing their password to third parties.
In the event that the User knows or suspects that their password is being used by third parties, they should either inform Editorial la Mar Salada SL
of this as soon as possible, or change the password from their own access manager.
The whole purchasing process is protected by the HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) system. This is the Header URL used to indicate a secure HTTP connection and it will always be seen as: www.edicionsdelpirata.cat/es
It is syntactically identical to the http: // header normally used when accessing resources using HTTP. Using a https: // URL indicates that HTTP will be used, but through a predetermined different TCP port (the 443) and an encryption/authentication layer between HTTP and TCP. This protects both the purchasing process and the data included.
The payment process is always external to the website platform and originates from the banking institution that securely protects the most personal payment data.
